I've talked about this project for a while, both on this site and to anyone who'd stand still long enough to listen, and I never really needed to. I've known from the beginning what I want from this system, and talking about it for six months only takes six months where I could be accomplishing things and turns it into a marketing ploy to no-one in particular. So I'm starting now. Since I've decided to use Qt and C++ I'll start off by writing a few simple apps in Qt and getting a feel both for GUI development and Qt development in particular. Hopefully, by this time next year I'll have a simple version of blare, maybe one with very little customization and support for only audio, but I need to start simple. Or I'll never get anywhere at all.
